AAPM ™ Continuing Education Requirements

Annually, each AAPM charter holder and board certification holder should complete 15 hours or more of continuing education CE credits. Here is a list of what counts. 15 hours would be equivalent to a 2 day seminar or conference event. If you have more than one AApM Designation, you need only complete CE for one certification.

Members may complete one of the below or a combination to fullfill their annual requirements.

  • Take this online AAPM Approved course in Project Management:
  • The AAPM Approved Annual Congress counts for full CE Credit. This is a Full 2 day event that counts for 15 hours.
  • Attendance of 15 or more hours of PM related education (2 days of training)
  • 15 Hours of executive education from an accredited business school (i.e. or one full graduate course would count)
  • Publish an Article with the AAPM International Journal or other news venue
  • Teach a PM course or Seminar and submit an email regarding your good faith teaching work.
  • Attend an Approved Global Seminar

IBS BOARD Complaint Procedures
To assist the public when filing a complaint against any IBS BOARD designated professional please review the policies provided below.
When an IBS BOARD professional has been awarded the use of any IBS BOARD designation certification or charter, the member agrees to abide by the code of ethics and CE rules of the IBS and Respective BOARD Handbook and to comply with all local/state/federal/ and provincial laws in which the professional has residence. If a wrongdoing or violation has happened and a substantiated complaint is issued against a certified member, the Global Board will investigate and determine if disciplinary action is needed. The IBS BOARD ethics, terms and disclaimers are clear about abiding by rules and regulations of any governmental body.

Rational and Reasons For Discipline
Conduct by a member constitutes grounds for discipline if it violates rules, ethics or policies in the Handbook, Bylaws or Code of Ethics, or any violation of criminal laws in the region/country in which an IBS BOARD certification holder works or resides, or any action that violates a professional license an IBS BOARD member holds. All complaints will be reviewed by the IBS BOARD Legal and compliance team.

Investigations
If a complaint is justified and a certified member has been found guilty of a crime or violation which has been determined by the IBS BOARD Board or local/state/county laws in which the member resides or works, the board can immediately terminate any membership status or certification held by any member.

The IBS BOARD and Accreditation Commission Board acts to enforce its Code of Ethics, policies, and rules of the professional conduct that the public can expect to receive.

Upon the receipt of an official written complaint issued against any IBS BOARD member, the Board will carefully review the information and determine if further investigation is required. Any IBS BOARD member will be given the right to confront or defend any complaint.

Project management includes creating a project plan including specifying a project goals and objectives, listing and organizing tasks or how plans and objectives will be attained, which resources are needed , and contrasting budgets and timelines for finishing the tasks and project . It also includes facilitating the project plan, along with well thought out controls to remain on the "mission path", that is, to ensure the tasks, goals and projects are being managed according to plan. Project management usually comes after major phases and a feasibility study, project planning, implementation, analysis, evaluation and maintenance. (Program planning is usually of a larger scope than project planning.
